One story, four ways to read it
I'm a CSE undergraduate at the University of Moratuwa who builds full-stack products, real-time systems, and the occasional research pipeline — usually as the person keeping a team of five or six pointed in the same direction.
CSE undergraduate, CGPA 3.27 and Dean's Honors List, with shipped team projects and a hackathon runner-up finish. I've led a six-person build for a real client and contributed edge-AI to a production traffic platform. Comfortable across the stack, faster where it touches the user.
Next.js, Node, and PostgreSQL day to day, with detours into YOLOv8 on a Raspberry Pi, Kafka/Flink streaming, and scikit-learn. I care about the boring parts — row-level security that actually holds, events that arrive once, and errors that say what happened.
I read a Figma file properly and I'll flag where a layout breaks at 320px. Motion and responsive behaviour are part of the build for me, not a coat of paint applied at the end — this whole site is hand-built, reduced-motion included.

Co-authored "How Environment and Urbanization Shape Bird Diversity in Sri Lanka" (MERCon 2026). Built a spatiotemporal pipeline linking 1.5M+ citizen-science bird observations with satellite-derived environmental features, released publicly on Hugging Face.
A real-time, camera-based traffic monitoring platform turning a vehicle crossing into a live dashboard update in under 500ms. Built the edge detection component (YOLOv8n + ByteTrack on Raspberry Pi 5) within a distributed Kafka, Flink, and Kubernetes architecture.
Led a team of six building a custom LMS and public website for a real client, covering resource sharing, mark distribution, and end-to-end delivery from database schema to full-stack implementation.
A mobile-first platform connecting drivers with mechanics, garages, parking, and emergency services across Sri Lanka, with role-based flows for each user type. Deployed live on Netlify and Railway.
A classical ML spam classifier on the UCI Spambase dataset, benchmarking Naive Bayes, SVM, Random Forest, and a voting ensemble. Best model: Random Forest — 94.7% accuracy, 93.1% F1 on the held-out test set.
A production-ready event management platform for Moratuwa University with role-based workflows for Students, Club Presidents, and Admins, including approval pipelines and analytics dashboards.
A full-featured clinic appointment & treatment management system with role-based access across 5 user roles, covering booking, patient registry, invoicing, and insurance claims.
